We're ready for you to get to your projects...
I have too many machines and tools to use all by myself! The sewing space is ready to get your projects underway using home and industrial machines as well as the many other tools that help make the process more easeful. You could also bring your own favorites and use a space thoughtfully arranged to flow with your process.
The sign up process is now available via Calendly. Choose the time you would like to get started (Weds-Saturday), then note how long you would like to stay. $10 per hour payment will be due at the studio, as well as signing a waiver. Max charge per day is $50. The maximum amount of people using studio space is 4 (including myself), which I feel will be just right to balance tooling to person ratio. Please arrive 15 minutes early for an orientation to the space if it is your first time with us in the studio. This is not counted in your hour rental rate, so plan your reservation accordingly.

I do realize these hours are not conducive for those with a 10-6 schedule conflict. If you are interested in using the StitchLab, your hours may be able to be arranged. So, the answer is no 100% of the time you don't ask, so let's chat!
What does your $10/hour StitchLab rental include?
This rental includes cutting space, cutting-measuring-marking tools, pressing aids, lockstitch, coverstitch, overlock, and embroidery machines. It does not include lessons. I will be tending store and open to questions, but be prepared to self-navigate your project. I will teach you how to use the machines if you are unfamiliar. If you would like to use an industrial walking foot, chain stitch, or overlock, please note and an additional cost may apply.
Longarm Rental
StitchLab includes longarm rental! I have a Handi Quilter Amara 20 on a 12' frame ready to use. I'm working out the logistics, and I'm ready. First, you need to book a $60 private lesson for 1.5 hours with me to go over the machine- I will meet you at beginner to intermediate to go over basics of free motion quilting and machine use. This calendar is in 1 hour blocks, so just book the hour you want to start and make a note that it is a longarm lesson...or call me if that is simpler.
After you have done your first lesson, you can book through the StitchLab calendar and note that you are interested in longarm rental and how long you predict you will use it at $15/hour. This is a special price as we figure out the true cost. It's sew fun, come sew for yourself:)

Reoccuring Fridays 4-6p come and go as you wish: This gathering is for those that have thought about doing an art, spoken about doing an art, are doing art, and are in full flow of the artistic process. Which I believe you all are already, whether you know it or not:) You may be at some curiosity, point, or intersection of sobriety or substance abuse recovery and mental/emotional health actions or want to be around some that are. Art and community are the medicines offered here. Please sign up ahead of time, but don't let that stop you from joining if you don't!
We focus on hand stitching and meet monthly to work on individual projects and discuss any collaborate efforts that may come up. Offered free to gather round whenever you are free to show up in the time window.
