The tote pictured is structurally the same as what we will make, and the front pocket will be different in quilting cotton or a friendship star quilt block.

We will be constructing a 19" x 19"  canvas tote bag with cotton webbing straps, front pocket, and boxed corners.  

Making this tote entails:

• Cutting fabric from given measurements.
• Pressing and prepping fabric to make straight hems
• Sewing with an even seam allowance
• Boxing corners technique

If you want to also learn how to quilt, sign up for our Quilting: Friendship Star Block class on its separate date as well.  Then you can use this quilt block as your front pocket.

I predict this will take the full time, and we all work at different paces.  If you need more time, StitchLab is available to schedule at no additional cost.
